Take Charge of Your Love Life

Loneliness is practically an epidemic these days. People are marrying later and divorce has never been easier or more popular. But love is still one of the most important things in life. It’s exciting, it adds meaning to life and makes you feel good about yourself. The need for someone to love and share your life with is built deeply inside everyone.

Yet with over 6 billion people on the planet, it often seems impossible to find the right person. The problem is not that there is no one for you. It’s a simply a problem of meeting him.

Many women will solve this problem by dreaming their lives away expecting that any moment their prince charming will come along. Books and movies make millions of dollars promoting this fantasy. But life is not like this and the sooner this myth is dispelled the happier these women will be. The woman who speaks of marriages being made in heaven is an example of this kind of thinking. She refuses to learn from life. She believes her problem of finding a man will simply solve it’s self by just letting things happen.

In the old days, this might have worked. Selection of a partner for marriage was a group project. Assistance came from the family, friends, church, school and the community in general. But times have changed.

Finding a man is a do-it-yourself project.

With people moving more often, families and neighborhoods are vanishing and finding a mate has become a do-it-yourself project. On the bright side, relationships these days have the potential to be more satisfying because you come into contact with many more potential mates than your relatives did.

This larger field increases the probability of meeting someone whom you really get along with, instead of relying on the limited choice that they had. But while the potential for more and better relationships exist, you must be more deliberate in making them happen.

Yes you can do it

Meeting men is a matter of communication. By understanding the thinking process that men go through to meet you, you will know how to maximize every encounter. Getting together is really a matter of communication. Visually communicating information about yourself, visually communicating your interest in him, visually communicating your mutual interest, then talking to communicate and confirm your mutual expectations.

If both your mutually expectations are met, then you have a possible match that merits further investigation. Otherwise, you keep searching for the next opportunity.

The stakes are high and changing old habits can be a monumental task. But isn’t it better to take charge of your love life than just letting it happen?
